Can i use a ipod touch 4 G as a wifi adapter for my xbox 360!!?

My xbox is a elite/older xbox/ and my wifi is unlocked and i dont want any ethernet cables! But i want to know if instead of spending $70 on a adapter can i just plug up my ipod through the usb cable and the usb port if it will let it be used as an adapter.,? And if not what else can?
