How to unlock volume limit on ipod without having to connect it to computer?

I accidentally set a ew volume limit for my ipod while the backlight was off, i know...skills, right? Anyway, I have absolutely no clue what it is, I don't have a wire to connect it to a computer right now, and I can barely here the music. Help?
