Why is every television network using dark boring movie color? Please Read..?

Am I the only one who notices how terrible television color is now. Look at the shows on Fox, NBC, CBS, and ABC. They all have that dark boring movie color. I cannot not even watch any of the shows. Look how dark Desparate Housewives, 30 Rock, Glee, and all the other shows are. What happened? I thought technology would get better. Remember the color of All in the Family, Threes Company, The Golden Girls, Boy Meets World, The Cosby Show, Fresh Prince, or any other show before the 2000s. Why is network using dark boring movie colors. I have not read anything about this. I wonder if am the only one who notices it?
